Deferred Maintenance

“Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you.” 1 Timothy 4:14

One of the things we have learned in the REV7:9 experience is that the skill set, energy, and desire of some of our congregations has been severely neglected. They are like cars, buildings, even skill sets that require some care, development and maintenance. One REV7:9 pastor says that the congregation he serves was not accustomed to reaching out, inviting others, and did not see the nations and ethnic neighbors surrounding their congregation.

Because of the resources and coaching of REV7:9 members of the congregation now have eyes to see, ears to hear, and compassionate heart to seek and save the lost. That congregation is currently working on a plan to implement their outreach to the community.

Perhaps maintenance has been deferred in your congregation as well. I invite you to take a look at the initiative that is REV7:9. Consider our coaching process. Take a look online at the resources on our website. Consider using the missionary narratives from Mission Nation Publishing that shares the experiences of missionaries to America.(last week of the book sale)

Do not continue to “neglect the gift you have” but get proactive and reach out to the nations that are around you. Do not defer maintenance in the ministry and members any longer when there is REV7:9 that may be one of the tools to help the members develop a passion to reach the multitudes.
