Resources

It's hard to imagine where to begin when it comes to serving immigrant groups in your community. The truth is, none of us can do ministry on our own. Below we have listed out resources of sermons preached, bible studies, videos, and websites that can help!

Sermon Manuscripts

When the Bugle Sound is Clear

“When the Bugle Sound is Clear” calls the Church back to its primary mission: clearly proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Drawing from the struggles of the Corinthian church, it contrasts confusion and misplaced priorities with the clarity of God’s message of love through Christ’s death and resurrection. This resource challenges believers to refocus on what truly builds up the Church and to live as instruments through which God’s clear message is heard.

To Stand on the Shore, Get Out of the Boat

“To Stand on the Shore, Get Out of the Boat,” calls the Church to move beyond comfort and into faithful action. Rooted in John 21, it challenges believers and congregations to trust God enough to step into the unknown. Whether in mission, repentance, or loving those around them. At its heart is the promise that Jesus is already in the water, meeting us in grace, leading us forward, and carrying us to the shore through His faithfulness.

Dreaming of Bithynia

“Dreaming of Bithynia,” explores how God redirects our plans for His greater purpose. Drawing from John 2 and Acts 16, it contrasts our tendency to hold onto what we expected with God’s habit of opening unexpected doors. This resource encourages believers and churches to trust God’s direction, embrace changing opportunities for mission, and recognize that He is always at work leading His people toward something greater than they imagined.

Bible Studies

Apostles Then and Now- Rev. Dr. Robert Scudieri

“Apostles Then and Now,” explores the meaning of the word apostolos and expands our understanding beyond the Twelve. By tracing how Scripture uses the term across multiple passages, it highlights that “apostles” were not only the original disciples but also others sent out to proclaim Christ. This resource invites participants to see the Church as a sent people, ultimately pointing to Jesus as the greatest Apostle and the one who sends us into His mission.

Recovering the Apostolic Church - Rev. Dr. Robert Scudieri

A Bible study based on “Recovering the Apostolic Church” introduces the Nicene Creed and its role in shaping the Church's identity as one, holy, catholic, and apostolic. By exploring the meaning of “apostle” as one who is sent, it connects early Church history with the ongoing mission of God’s people. This resource helps participants see the Creed not just as words to confess, but as a call to live as a missionary Church, grounded in Christ and sent into the world.
